Last year we were a 3 star park, but with recent developments we have been awarded 4 stars. The grading scheme incorporates individual holiday caravan pitches so well done to all those with neat, tidy and colourful gardens which helped boost our score up! Well done to all those who entered, our judges were very impressed with the high standard of planting arrangements! It was a close call, and the judges even had to visit some pitches again as there was a tie break for first prize! The list of winners will be displayed in reception on August Bank Holiday. The judges were so impressed they gave a select number of entries a separate commendation. HMRC have announced the withdrawal of some concessionary treatment that has been permitted in the holiday park sector. Some of the changes announced will result in more VAT being collected so it is most important to ensure familiarity with the changes being made and what their effect will be. Whilst the changes will not take effect until January 2012, they concern: -The charge of non-domestic Rates -The VAT treatment of water and sewerage Whilst these changes outlined above do not come into effect until January 2012, we wanted you to be fully informed of these changes. Please be aware that all gas safety tests and electric safety tests are all due for the 2011/12 season. If you have recently had your caravan either gas or electric safety tested in the past 6 months please supply the Office with a copy.
