Gas & Electricity Safety Checks Now Due!

Please be aware that all gas safety tests and electric safety tests are all due for the 2010 season. If you have recently had your caravan either gas or electric safety tested in the past 6 months please supply the Office with a copy. If you would like to book a gas or electric safety test please call in reception or you can call:

ALERT! We have been alerted to what appears to be faulty rubber used in flexible gas hoses used to supply freestanding cookers on relatively new caravans. As a precaution, if your caravan has a freestanding cooker, we are requesting that you should have your caravan gas safety tested by a Gas Safe Registered person and request that they check the condition of the cooker hose when they Gas test your caravan.

ALERT! We have been alerted of a serious risk of carbon monoxide poisoning if the grill is operated with the door closed on the following cookers:

New World Vision 50TWLM and 50WLM Silver and White

• Beko models
• Flavel models
• Flavel Milano model
• Leisure models

If your cooker is one of the above models, you are advised that the grill should not be used with the grill door closed and please review the advice on the following website links:

Electrical Safety

If you let or hire your caravan out a PAT test is also required for all electrical appliances which you use in the caravan. The PAT test can be done by a qualified electrician such as Chris Williams. A copy of the PAT test will be required in the Office.
